This a classic khichri mix that can be made and stored for situations when you are in a rush or while travelling.
To prepare this instant khichri, just add 2 tsp of this powder with half cup water and cook till desired consistency.

INGREDIENTS
- Parboiled rice- 1/2 cup
- Moong dal- 1/4 cup
- Cumin seeds- 1/8 tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash dal and rice thoroughly and keep aside for drying.
- Dry roast the dried rice, dal and cumin seeds for 7 minutes on low flame or just until everything gets hot and turns slightly golden.
- Once it has cooled completely, grind it well in a mixer to make a fine powder.
- Cool and store in an airtight container.
