What makes these waffles different Waffles????
Waffles were unheard of here untill I picked up a waffle maker. Many recipes consist of flour and sugar but with the simple addition of oats, the fibre content of these waffles help keep the kiddies fuller for longer and prevent energy slumps…
Oats are a complex carbohydrate that contain beta glucans. Beta glucans in oats have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and stimulate the proper functioning of the immune system. During digestion oats are digested in the lower gastrointestinal tract and the impact on positive mental health, along with concentration and attention is largely associated with the benefits of beta glucans on improving the diversity and population of good gut bacteria.
So in short, these waffles are a positive and fun way to promote your child’s mental health and inspire their creative side by empowering their choice of colourful toppings.
Waffles are wonderful for breakfast, brunch and even for lunchboxes with a side of yoghurt and fresh berries.
Enjoy xxxxxx
